Some towers are more effective than others on certain enemy types, so it’s important to rotate the ring around to maximise the impact being brought onto the enemies. In those rings you need to build towers to defend the colony, as well as support buildings, and then rotate the rings around so that the towers are able to target enemy units. The problem is that there’s not that much room to build – just three rings around the precious city centre. Your job is to build towers and fortifications to hold these enemies at bay. In Aegis, enemies close in to attack a city from a full 360 circle. And like almost all Acquire games, there’s plenty within to frustrate, along with the good stuff to really appreciate. But because I love you all so much I review ’em anyway.Įnjoy! And be sure to let us know what games you are playing at the moment in the comments.Ĭoming to us from ultra-niche specialists, Acquire, Aegis of Earth is a fascinating little twist on the tower defence genre. These aren’t necessarily bad games – not at all! But rather they are smaller or shorter games, or they might be free-to-play and therefore don’t really need a review at all. Welcome to this week’s short ‘n sweet reviews, where I look at a number of games that I’ve been playing that I just haven’t got the time to do give full reviews to.
